Int'l Forestry, Environment symposium

The University of Sri Jayewardenepura Forestry and Environmental Science Department will hold the 14th International Forestry and Environmental Symposium under the theme Developments in Forestry and Environmental Science in 2009' on December 18 and 19. This will be held at the Forestry Auditorium of the University.

The Forestry Symposium on Forestry and Environment also coincides with the Golden Jubilee of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

About 210 research and review papers will be read at this Symposium under the sub themes 'Natural Resource Management, Waste Management and Pollution Control, Forest Products, Green Solutions in Development, Ecology, Biodiversity, Biotechnology and Tissue Culture, Climate Change, Socio-economics in Environmental Conservation. Research papers from India, Africa, UK and Australia will be presented. This Symposium will be telecast live through the internet on http// www.sjp.ac.lk/ webcast/index. html
