Four new bus services to Narahenpita DEC

The Transport Ministry through the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB)
has commenced four bus services for the convenience of commuters
traveling to the Dedicated Economic Centre (DEC) in Narahenpita from
yesterday night.
Following a request made by Trade, Marketing Development,
Co-operatives and Consumer Services Minister Bandula Gunawardene,
Transport Minister Dullas Alahapperuma has taken measures to launch
these bus services along Kiri Mandala Mawatha in Narahenpita where the
SLTB bus service was not operated earlier.
The inauguration of this bus service will definitely bring great
relief for the consumers who wish to market at the DEC in Narahenpita.
"This is a fulfillment of a long felt need of the public," he said.
Minister Bandula Gunawardene said that four bus routes commencing
from the DEC in Narahenpita will ply on new bus routes of 131, 146/1,
138/176 and 172 to Kirulapone, Sedawaththa, Veluvanapura and
Raththanapitiya.
The four bus services will be implemented from 3.00 p.m to 10.30 p.m
on a daily basis along the Kiri Mandala Mawatha in Narahenpita.
A new bus stand has already been constructed at the premises of the
Narahenpita DEC for the convenience of the commuters.
