Yoga Part- ix:
Sukhasana (Easy posture)
Sukhasana is a convenient and an ideal posture for meditation. Age is
no barrier to practice this Asana.
Step1: Sit on the floor. Fold one leg in and keep the other leg
crossed as shown in the picture.
Step2: Straighten the back. Keep the thumb and forefinger tips of
each hand pressed together. This is called the Gnana Mudra . Place the
hands on the respective knee.
Step3: Close your eyes and meditate.

* Improves flexibility and the strength of the spine
* A cure for aches in ankles, calves and knees due to ageing
* Dissolves calcium layers deposited on the joints in the legs
