Sausage candles

Ingredients:

Fried sausages
A few carrot cubes
Baked shortcrust pastry or
bread cut into circles
Tomato or chili sauce
Parsley
Cream cheese (optional)

Method:

Cut the fried sausages into two. Spread the cream cheese on the baked shortcrust pastry or bread cut into circles. Stand one piece of the sausage upright in the middle of the mixture. Place a carrot cube on top of the sausage. Top with sauce and decorate with parsley. ---------------------

Christmas cookies

Ingredients:

200g flour
75-100g butter
1 egg yolk
100g brown sugar
1-2 teaspoons ground
ginger preserves
2-3 tablespoons of golden syrup
1/2 teaspoon ground spices
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Method:

Beat the butter, egg yolk and sugar in a bowl. Add flour, ginger preserves, golden syrup, ground cinnamon and spices. Put the mixture in a freezer for 1/2 hour. Roll the mixture on a surface and cut into various shapes using cookie cutters.

Rub some butter on a baking tray. Set the oven to 180 centigrades. Bake the cookies for 10 to 20 minutes till those turn golden brown.

Meat and seafood cocktail

Ingredients:

250g fish
250g prawns
2-3 sausages
Chicken cut into
small pieces
(optional)
Capsicum
Onions
Pineapple
Salt
Pepper
Tomato sauce
Vegetable oil
Cocktail sticks

Method:

Cut the fish, chicken and sausages into small pieces. Mix together with salt, pepper and tomato sauce. Chop the capsicum and onions into bigger pieces. Pin the chicken, fish, sausage, onion, capsicum and pineapple pieces along with the prawns on the cocktail sticks. Sprinkle with some oil and bake.

Macaroni with salad dressing

Ingredients:

1/2 packet macaroni
100g prawns or ham
One onion
Chopped carrots
Chinese cabbage
Parsley
Mayonnaise or
Thousand Island Dressing
White sauce
Salt
Pepper
Mustard
1 teaspoon garlic
Butter or margarine

Method:

Boil the macaroni in salt mixed water. Heat a lump of butter or margarine in a pan and add the chopped garlic and prawns or ham. Add chopped carrot, onion and Chinese cabbage. Mix the boiled macaroni, white sauce, mayonnaise and Thousand Island Dressing, salt, pepper, capsicum, mustard and parsley.
