Department of Motor Traffic Kegalle district office
The Cabinet has approved a memorandum submitted by the Transport
Minster Dullas Alahapperuma to allocate remaining construction works of
the building for Kegalle District office of the Department of Motor
Traffic on an estimate to Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau (CECB)
subject to payment on the rates approved by the Permanent Technical
Committee of the Construction and Engineering Services Ministry out of
normal tender procedure.
Department of Motor Traffic Kandy district office
The Cabinet has approved a memorandum submitted by the Transport
Minister Dullas Alahapperuma to allocate construction work of the new
building for Kandy District office of the Department of Motor Traffic to
Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau (CECB) to this amount subject to
payment on the rates approved by the Permanent Technical Committee of
the Ministry of Construction and Engineering Services out of normal
tender procedure.
Divisional Secretaries Divisions of Kalmunai and Kalmunai North
The Cabinet has approved a memorandum submitted by Public
Administration and Home Affairs Minister and Deputy Minister of Finance
and Planning Dr. Sarath Amunugama to establish two new Divisional
Secretaries Divisions in Ampara District governed under Divisional
Secretariat, Kalmunai consisting of 29 Grama Niladhari Divisions and
Kalmunai North consisting of 27 Grama Niladhari Divisions.
Expansion of National Laboratory of Measurement Units, Standards and
Services Department
The Cabinet has approved a memorandum submitted by the Trade
Marketing Development, Co-operatives and Consumer Services Minister
Bandula Gunawardane to locate the laboratories required for the
Department of Measurement Units, Standards and Services, Training
Centre, Administrative Unit with accommodation facilities for staff in a
new building complex at Pitipana, Homagama.
Landing site for outboard engines - Fishing boats
The Cabinet has approved to a memorandum submitted by Fisheries and
Aquatic Resources Minister Felix Perera to construct a landing site for
displaced outboard engine fishing boats at the New Fisheries Harbour at
Dickowita now under construction.
Land for resettlement of displaced persons
The Cabinet has approved a memorandum submitted by the Irrigation and
Water Management Minister Chamal Rajapaksa to have a further four acres
of land released from the Telehera Farm, belonging to the National
livestock Development Board to the Divisional Secretary, Kobeigane for
the propose of Resettlement of people displaced by the Construction of
Deduru Oya Reservoir scheme, in addition to the 112 Acres already
released.
