JVP betraying murdered cadres

In Sri Lanka's political affairs the forthcoming Presidential
Election will be recorded in history as the instance in which a leader
of a political party had destroyed that party by his own conduct. That
was what the ordinary people say about the UNP today, Youth Affairs
Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi said yesterday at a UPFA rally at
Ratnapura District.
The JVP that swore they would not have any truck with the UNP that
killed thousands of their members were now betraying those deceased
members who sacrificed their lives for the party.
The forces behind these two parties were foreign and local ones that
had espoused the separatist terrorist forces that hated President
Mahinda Rajapaksa for having given political leadership to the Armed
Forces and defeated the terrorists, she also said.
Minister Wanniarachchi noted today Fonseka who was highly respected
by the people had become a puppet in the hands of the international
political foes of Sri Lanka and was only nodding his head to whatever
the UNP-JVP combination said, she noted. |
