Promoted Major General

President Mahinda Rajapaksa has promoted two Brigadiers of the Sri Lanka Army to the rank of Major General from November 30.

They are Brigadiers D.R.N.S. Dematapitiya and A.W.J.C. de Silva.

Major General Dematapitiya is the Forward Maintenance Area Commander of North Central Province and Major General Silva is attached to the Army Headquarters.
