JVP has forgotten tyre pyres now - Weerawansa

The JVP was taking its members blindfolded to help the UNP win today.
The game of hide and seek JVP’s Anura Kumara Dissanayaka and others
played was out in the open, JNP leader Wimal Weerawansa said.
Weerawansa said there were pictures published in newspapers of the
UNP media centre being opened that showed clearly what the hide and seek
game both parties had been playing.
“Mangala Samaraweera said Gen Sarath Fonseka was not fit even to be
the commander of the Salvation Army.
Ravi Karunanayake said the army saying they were going to Kilinochchi
were only at Medawachchiya and the army saying they were going to
Elephant Pass were only at Pamankada.

The person in charge of Ududumabara where the largest number of JVP
members were killed were sitting with the JVP leaders on the same
political platform,” he noted.
It was surprising that the JVP leaders had forgotten how thousands of
JVP members were burnt on tyre pyres during the UNP rule,” he said.
Those patriotic forces that worked for the victory of Mahinda
Rajapaksa at the 2005 presidential election barring the JVP were behind
President Mahinda Rajapaksa even today.
“The JVP that said there was an elephant tiger alliance then has now
joined the elephant today and it appeared to be similar to the
elephant-tiger alliance,” he noted.
Though General Sarath Fonseka said he did not belong to any political
party he was seen wearing the elephant symbol on his shirt front when he
took part in the recent UNP convention held at Welisara.
If he does not belong to any political party how was it that Fonseka
wore the green elephant symbol on his person at a public event,”
Weerawansa queried. |
