The Pallekelle international cricket stadium is one of the most
picturesque cricket venues in Sri Lanka which is situated in the centre
of the Dumbara Valley surrounding Hunnasgiri, Nuckles Range, Hantane

Africa's Centurion Park. Asitha Wijesinghe the curator of the stadium
noted that this is situated in the semi arid zone and it lies below the
normal ground level like a basin. Rain will be falling only from mid
October to end of November.
MAS Active team won the Colours of Courage Six a Side Cricket
tournament held at NCC ground recently. The tournament was
organized by the Colours of Courage Trust and sponsored by DHL,
HSBC, Real Fm and A and E. Colours of Courage Trust which is a
non for profit organization founded to address the needs of the
National Cancer Institute, Maharagama. |
The pitch is made with special grass named synadone or commonly named
Santana which is conventional for Sri Lanka.
Outfield was constructed by Australian grass which was obtained from
Victoria golf club.

stadium will have all modern and latest facilities after the
constructions capacity will be 20,000 for spectators. Situated 8 km from
Kandy it is only 20 minutes drive 3km from Earl's Regency the nearest
five star hotel.
