IGP extends public hearing time
IGP Mahinda Balasuriya has extended the duration
of time for meeting the public every Friday (Public Day) at the
Police Headquarters. Police spokesman Senior DIG Nimal Mediwake said
considering the extent of the public grievances the IGP has extended
the meeting time by a further.

Naval troops recover arms haul
Acting on information received, Intelligence
Team (East) was able to recover a large quantity of arms, ammunition
and mines in two separate search operations. The recovered cache of
war like items were found from the general area of Wellamulli Vaikal
in Mullaitivu on November 28 and from the general area of
Puthukudiruppu East in Iranamadu on November 29.
