Electoral registers on display at Govt offices
Electoral registers will be exhibited for postal voters’ reference at
the 2010 Presidential Election at several government offices in Colombo
and in the outstation in District Secretariats and Kachcheris from
today.
The Elections Commissioner requested postal voters to send their
applications for postal votes through certifying officers, the Elections
Department said yesterday.
Applications of electors registered in Colombo District should be
sent to the Commissioner of Elections, Colombo District, 395, Old Kotte
Road, Rajagiriya, 10107. Applications of electors of Jaffna and
Kilinochchi districts should be sent to the Returning Officer, Jaffna
while those in Mullaitivu, Mannar and Vavuniya should be sent to
Returning Officer, Vavuniya, the department said.
Applications of all other districts should be sent to the Returning
Officer of the respective district.
Applications free of charge could be obtained from the places where
electoral registers are exhibited. Places in Colombo where electoral
