UASC suspends service

United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) temporarily suspended its All-Water Asia - US East Coast service.

This suspension came as a part of UASC service review initiated in light of the difficult trading conditions currently prevailing over the shipping industry, which amongst other trades was affected severely the Asia/US East Coast trade.

Earlier this year UASC had addressed the challenging trading conditions by reshuffling and optimizing the deployment of its fleet, which was expanded last year by the arrival of nine A7 class 6900 TEU capacity vessels.

As a result, UASC revamped a number of its core services, as well as services operated with partners to better balance the deployed capacity with the available volumes.

UASC intends to resume servicing this vital trade route in the near future as the operational environment in the All Water Asia/US East Coast trade is expected to return to a healthier state very soon.
