Natural beauty
Why evade bright sunlight
enjoy, flit as butterflies
always carry a light heart
fill love no-one would part
franks thy face, clean shade
off jealousy, hatred nor rage
nature will purify thy image
facials, sun shades are shame
respect thy flesh and bones
portray face a petal rose

Abandoned mirror
There is a mirror abandoned.
Ignored and kept in the office corner
Who was the proud owner?
When verified, it and an inventory item.
Advised all officers, use the mirror
Otherwise will be charged
On administrative error.
Happy, all are using the mirror.
Even bald men, combing their hair.

Viva Aloysiana!
Aloysians, we are all
True in number we are small,
Clue to this riddle not known
Yet in time crucial
Thou shalt be bold!
This 'Temple of wisdom'
hath, given thee thy education.
It helpeth thee to standeth
on thy own two-feet
It is a request on thee
never, depart in a hurry,
Or forget, and be merry
It is secret and holy,
Give her thy attention
and respect - duly!
Think of the leaders,
The great persuaders!
Who moulded the schools architecture
Bringing forth, intellectuals
And well-known preachers
The God's own culminators!
I bade you well Alma-mater
Time and time again,
May you prosper!
Bring forth, men of calibre!
May the God's blessings
Be upon thee,
May the blessings of the
Triple Gem be upon thee.
Amen! - Ayubowan

Farewell
Twelve months ago, time stood still,
When she departed,
Leaving me broken-hearted
By the hospital window grille.
Son and daughter unaware,
Resting at home,
Needing loving care
For their turn to tend not roam.
Loved by all,
Big and small
Express wish for cremation,
Beyond pale of human sedation.
Few to attend the last farewell,
A cremation not a ball
Ashes gathered in clay pot,
Grey ashes do not rot.
At Kelani Bridge threw, pot over,
The clay crumbled, ashes in liquid, clover,
Floated on to where the waters meet
At Mutuwal where the Indian Ocean
will the Kelani Ganga greet. A strange life, Good mother, good wife.

My brother Rajah
I recall down memory lane since my happy childhood
In uncountable ways you were the pride of true brotherhood
Never will the aches in my heart fade'n vanish away
Profound sorrow bitter heart burns 'll remain forever'n sway.
Till memory fails your absence felt day after day
How much we miss you nor tears or words could ever say
Undying nostalgic memories stand engulfed in my painful heart
Par excellence you played lovingly many a heavy part so smart.
Numerous awards won for extraordinary talents outstanding
Reputed boxer a celebrity, teetotaller, integrity abounding
Though after a brief illness your demise beyond belief
Loved ones aghast deeply stunned, we in unbearable grief
Extended generous selfless hand to needy, less fortunate
Without you they wouldn't 've become so fortunate
Regardless of reward meritorious deeds in silence for charity
Your sincere attitudes expecting unity, lucid harmony no disparity.
Few decades ago won prestigious titles for body building
weightlifting
Reputed honoured personality cynosure of manhood overflowing
Never proud of achievements rare calibre, unassuming
In your humble heart forgiveness, togetherness, loving kindness scaring.
May his only son Roshan with countless blessings of all deities
For a fruitful life acquire his gentle father's sterling qualities
A pillar of strength instructed many unto justice
Never pompous arrogant, ever ready by nature to sacrifice.
This sentimental tribute I owe you with gratitude at least this way
Sathya Sai devotee, lived in cheer in your lips, as you passed away
By virtue of myraid meritorious deeds performed in Sanasara
May you my loving brother attain the Supreme bliss of Nirvana

Respect elders
Yesterdays are dead along with the good acts
Tomorrow's in doubt, due to many facts
For Today's needs, elders seek your assistance,
Turn away not, respect them well, without resistance
Birth, growth, youthfulness, elderliness and death,
The main cities in one's life journey on Earth
You too may now in one of these known cities
Realize the truth and help them with ease
Many friends know them, in prosperity,
They know their friends, in adversity
Be kind to elders, and do good by heart,
Welcome them warmly with words sweet
Let them not to live in frustration,
Love them well and give due recognition
They've rendered valuable service to us,
Accept them with due respect, and good gestures
