Dashing opener Upul Tharanga hit a top score of 95 as the NCC reached an impressive 296 for 8 in their first innings on the opening day of their SLC Premier League cricket tournament Tier A match against the traditional rivals SSC which commenced at Maitland Place yesterday.

Stylish opener Sajith Fernando struck a solid half century to help Tamil Union reach 193 runs in their first innings on the opening day of their SLC Premier League cricket tournament Tier A match against the CCC which commenced at Maitland Crescent yesterday.

Off spinner Rakitha Wimaladharma snapped up four wickets for 73 to help Saracens SC restrict Chilaw Marians SC to 220 for 6 in their first innings on the opening day of their SLC Premier League cricket tournament Tier A match which commenced at Havelock Park yesterday.

Superb half century by Saman Jayantha

Middle order batsman Saman Jayantha hit a fighting half century to help Bloomfield reach 191 for 4 in their first innings on the opening day of their SLC Premier League cricket tournament Tier A match against Colts CC which commenced at Reid Avenue yesterday.
