Rs. 3,000 risk allowance to all troops

President Mahinda Rajapaksa has informed Army Commander Lt. Gen. Jagath Jayasuriya that the Rs. 3,000 risk allowance granted to soldiers who served in the North would be extended to rest of troops serving in other areas too.

President Rajapaksa had told the Commander that whatever help and assistance that could be provided to the war heroes, would be extended to them and that he was constantly alive to their needs.

The President told this to the Commander during a visit to the 651 battalion headquarters in Mulankavil.

President Rajapaksa also met around 4,000 troops attached to the units stationed in Killinochchi and Mullaitivu.
