Russians interested in Ecuadorian market

Russia: Russian enterprises are interested in the Ecuadorian market, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said today after meeting with Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa.

"We know his country development plans and Russian companies are interested in being part of that process", stated Putin, which reminded Hugo Chavez as their common friend. Correa had been interviewing with Medvedev previously at Kremlin. Russian President reiterated the relationship between his country and Latin America. He stated that he wants to develop stronger relations with the continent and Ecuador is one of their more important partners.

Both countries signed seven agreements, one of them regarding the purchase of two MI-171E military helicopters by Ecuador and other regarding the use of peaceful nuclear energy. Moscow, Prensa Latina
