Tharanga ton swells NCC total

Elegant left hand opening batsman Upul Tharanga celebrated his recall into the national team with a magnificent 155 as the NCC piled up a huge 384 for 3 in their first innings on the opening day of their SLC Premier League cricket tournament Tier A match against CCC which commenced at Maitland Place yesterday.

SSC shot out for 171

Skipper Tharanga Paranavithana hit a fighting century but could not prevent SSC from collapsing to 171 runs in their first innings on the opening day of their SLC Premier League cricket tournament Tier A match against Chilaw Marians SC which commenced at Maitland Place yesterday.

Tamil Union muster 278/5

Half centuries from opener Kanchana Gunawardena, Ashan Priyanjan and Muthumudalige Pushpakumara helped Tamil Union reach an impressive 278 for 5 in their first innings on the opening day of their SLC Premier League cricket tournament Tier A match against Colts CC which commenced at the P. Saravanamuttu Oval yesterday.

Tharaka, Prasanna help Bloomfield

Two unbeaten half centuries from Tharaka Gunaratne and wicket keeper batsman Prasanna Jayawardena helped Bloomfield reach 227 for 4 in their first innings on the opening day of their SLC Premier League cricket tournament Tier A match which commenced at Reid Avenue yesterday.
