The divine lovers

The rows of beauty pine,
With shade of yellow green and blue they shine,
They proudly stand in rows and rows together,
Screening the secret smiles of the divine lovers,
Whose sunshine smiles brighten
Their heavenly bliss.

Dreams of an island

Wrapped in a strange enchantment
Caught in an island spell.
By an old age magic,
With love no words can tell.
I dream of faraway places
And the thirst to roam
As my hungry heart strings,
The place I call my
Island home.
I am drowned by thoughts
Of the green waters
Burnt by the golden sun
Dazed by the starry heavens
With joy and laughter
On the yellow beaches,
As the waves flow in a low sweet murmur
At my thoughts of the
Wordless island spell.

Gifts of nature

Setting of the golden sun,
Brightness of the cool moon,
Twinkling of silver stars
Give life to our dead souls.
Drizzling of the seasonal rains,
Rising of the colourful rainbow
Add glamour to our lives.
Wonderful, silver-coloured waterfalls,
Meandering rivers and streams through
Velvet-green hill-tops
Enchant our gloomy hearts.
Singing of beautiful birds,
And flight of butterflies
Attract our sleepy eyes.
Oh! Nature, how marvellous
are your creations?

The breeze and I

My friend, the breeze
Visits me, unseen,
Like a thief,
All of a sudden

She blows from North
To the East,
Then, from South,
To West, at monsoon time!

She has no form
Nor, any complexion.
But, all the same,
She's my, good friend!

She invades, my precincts
As oft' she wishes.
Cools and comforts me
Whenever, she comes!

She enfolds, embraces,
And, kisses me, gently
Without even,
Seeking permission!

She is audacious,
But, God is gracious
For, acquainting me,
With my friend, the breeze!

Memories

Those days gone by, when with a smile,
Oh Rukmani! I'd meet you and greet a while,

Rosy were the days of old,
Under a spell you sang 'my love,
Kind and sweet, yet firm as gold,
May be, you're an angel from above,
Always a friend of true, true love,
Never to forget, never to hide,
Instead will be remembered "worldwide".

During your lifetime, a true life of worth,
Ever remembered for your dramas on earth'
Very true, very precious, a gem you were,
Its beauty, its value is now, "Mother Earth's"

From life to Earth with no second birth,
Roam you in heaven, bursting with song,
Ok stand beside me and fill me with mirth,
Memories to hold for generations long.

Lingering to hear

Colossal waves leapt to kiss the clouds above
Tiny kids of theirs followed by heaving up and up
It's a field of spikes of water with points blunt
With huge sounds, though no instrument was played.

Fish in various colours and shapes
Made their habitat in mossy corals
Led a conventional life wadding in their world
Until a lighting splashed across and deep.

One little sprat who covered head with brilliant white
Foresaw the future ahead that is rich in fabulous fame
The tales promised by unknown led her to adore
She wondered and wandered to good meadow

A current ran violently with acidic debris
Mixed in ignorance, loneliness and scarcity
The stream devoured fish which were made to float
With bellies up to show the nudity of authenticity

A fish not a whale no a shark but size in bigger
Escorted the little one under its fin to the newly ground
The little fish swam flickering its tail flying its fins
Twisting the body to reflect a light fell on

The cod with the tail still in the current
Waited by the edge with sharp eyes and cute ears
To hear the sound of thanking or farewell note
From the milky headed whom he loved most.
