Cambrian Cricket Sixes on September 26 and 27

The inter-club six-a-side cricket tournament organised by Cambrian Cricket Wing for the fifth successive year will be worked off on September, 26 and 27 at De Soysa Stadium, Moratuwa commencing at 9 a.m. on both days.

The winners will receive a cash prize of Rupees 100,000 while the runners up will carry away a cash award of Rs. 50,000. In addition there will be Rs. 10,000 cash prize each for the best batsman, man of the tournament, best bowler and for the player who hits most number of sixes.

A vice president of the Cambrian Cricket Wing Lantra Fernando told the Daily News Sports that all the clubs which participate in the premier cricket tournament will take part and a press conference will be held in this connection at the Mercantile Cricket Association club house on September, 21 at 6.30 p.m. and the organisers invite an official of the clubs which will participate to be present.
