The work carried out by CDPLC on the two tankers Pratibha Neera
(Repaired during mid June) and Pratibha Warna (Repaired during early
July) has paid dividends when the owners placed confidence by stemming
the Pratibha Tapi to Colombo.
Pratibha Shipping Co. Ltd., who has a fleet of eight tankers
operating the world over being one of the latest owners to utilise
Colombo's repair facilities.
They have selected Colombo as their preferred repair yard, mainly on
the customised repair services offered by Colombo Dockyard, coupled with
the strategic location advantage that Colombo provides. The eradication
of terrorism, emergence of peace and political stability has immensely
helped CDPLC to aggressively market their services successfully in the
world arena.
The repairs on the two tankers Pratibha Neera (28,610 DWT) and
Pratibha Warna (40,141 DWT) called for major lay up and drydocking
repairs and the two projects were completed on schedule successfully
meeting the owners requirements.
