MT Pratibha Warna accommodated in Colombo Dockyard’s 125,000 Dwt repair drydock

The work carried out by CDPLC on the two tankers Pratibha Neera (Repaired during mid June) and Pratibha Warna (Repaired during early July) has paid dividends when the owners placed confidence by stemming the Pratibha Tapi to Colombo.

Pratibha Shipping Co. Ltd., who has a fleet of eight tankers operating the world over being one of the latest owners to utilise Colombo's repair facilities.

They have selected Colombo as their preferred repair yard, mainly on the customised repair services offered by Colombo Dockyard, coupled with the strategic location advantage that Colombo provides. The eradication of terrorism, emergence of peace and political stability has immensely helped CDPLC to aggressively market their services successfully in the world arena.

The repairs on the two tankers Pratibha Neera (28,610 DWT) and Pratibha Warna (40,141 DWT) called for major lay up and drydocking repairs and the two projects were completed on schedule successfully meeting the owners requirements.

Colombo Dockyard's faster turn around time, high quality of workmanship, competitive pricing, and its geographically strategic location in close proximity to main sea routes are some of the key advantages for international tanker owners.

Colombo's professional approach to handling routine as well as emergency repairs, are some of the major selling points that has attracted many international ship owners to Colombo.
