Grand win for Team Triad
The Young Spikes team from Triad broke new ground in the industry
when they were placed second at the Young Spikes Asia Competition 2009,
whilst competing against ten other Asian teams.
The Spikes Asia Festival which concluded in Singapore on Friday, was
Asia’s first ever advertising festival which was organized with aim to
celebrate and inspire Asian creativity in advertising.
The runner-up team comprising of Charith De Silva, Arrvinda Salwatura,
Lanil Peiris, and Madhu Hewakapuge traveled to Singapore to compete
against some of the best young creative teams from all over Asia.
Winning the local competition, which was organized by Metal Factor
and sponsored by Yes FM, saw the team battle against young advertisers
from a variety of leading agencies, making them first ever Sri Lankan
team to be selected to participate in the Young Spikes Competition this
year.
The Triad Team won this accolade for their innovative campaign idea
centered on capturing the attention of major corporations and
encouraging them to donate money and relevant services to an NGO’s on
going International Development projects.
The winning campaign by the Triad Team was a strategy driven, insight
based integrated communications campaign that ensured the success of
capturing the desired attention of the target audience. Given the
fertile strategic thinking background and the focus on creative thinking
as an agency practice, the Triad Team faced the challenge with
confidence and eager determination to bring back a grand win for Sri
Lanka. |
