ASPI gains 47 points

Stocks at the CSE rebounded with the ASPI gaining 47 points (+1.7 percent) to close at 2,885 whereas the MPI which tracks the most liquid stocks gained 63 points (+ 2 percent) to close at 3,227. Turnover for yesterday was Rs 1.3 billion with John Keells Holdings accounting for Rs 487 million of the day's business. The share closed up Rs 2.75 to Rs 150.00.

Commercial Bank voting shares gained Rs 7.00 to close at Rs 170 on a turnover of Rs 79 million. Commercial Bank non voting shares gained Rs 3.75 to close at Rs 103.50 on a turnover of Rs 17 million. Source: First Guardian Equities
