Madolduwa to be recreated

The Habaraduwa Pradeshiya Sabha has decided to implement a program to recreate the environment of Madolduwa as described in the novel Madolduwa by its author late Martin Wickramasinghe.

Accordingly, the cave where Upali and Jinna, the main characters in the novel lived, will be re-constructed and crops will be cultivated as done by them as described in the novel.

Two wayside shelters (Ambalama) will also be constructed near the two entrances to Madolduwa.

Children visiting Madolduwa on sight seeing will be required to be attired in clothes similar to those worn by Upali and Jinna in the famous novel.
