Robbery suspect arrested

Matale Police Crime Investigation Unit arrested another trader from Yakkala area in connection with the robbery of two lathe machines and one iron cutting machine worth over Rs. 2.5 million belonging to an institution at Gonawala, Theldeniya.

It is reported that this robbery had taken place few days ago while the owner was away in a foreign country. Police said that the stolen goods were also seized along with the arrest of this trader.

Kandy Police is conducting further investigation into the incident.
