Keedeva makes farmers helpless

Farmers in several villages in the Pelmadulla Agrarian Services Division are facing hardships due to their paddy cultivations being infested by a fast spreading pest called Keedeva.

Farmers complain that these pests are resistant to the pesticide available in the market. The adverse weather conditions in the area have worsened the situation farmers say.
