Sakviththo comes on Rupavahini

Renowned teledrama director Wimalaratne Adikar who had dished out
creations like Ingammaruwa, Isiwara Asapuwa, Gajaman Nona, Jeewithaya
Sundarai and others is back with a new teledrama. Adikari's Sakviththo
began unspooling on Rupavahini from August 28, Monday to Friday at 7.30
p.m. The 100 episode teledrama revolves on true life incidents scripted
into a tale by K.B. Herath. Buddhadasa Vithanarachchi, Sriyani Amarasena,
Somasiri Alakolanga, Priya Ranasinghe, Deepani Silva, Chinthaka
Kulathunga, Chitra Warakagoda and others take up roles in the story. The
teledrama focuses on the aspect of a study of psychology of some
characters we find in the society. Avarice is the key to destruction is
one of the main themes which is highlighted in the tale. The
parent-children bondage is also brought to light.

Produced by Dr. Asanka Abhayawardena Sakviththo aims to create
awareness among masses that unscrupulous elements lead to disaster.
People fall prey to tricksters who engage in various forms of deceit for
their own progress and survival.
The creators hope to educate the public on the tactics and mind set
of such cheats so that they too would not become victims of such
situations. Pavan Kulathunga, Nadeesha Alahapperuma, Ayesha Sandamali,
Piyumi Purasinghe, Yamuna Perera, Thanuja Dilhani, Nuwangi Liyanage,
Dilki Jayathunga, Udara Rathnayake, Viraj malinga, Chamila Peiris, Udeni
Nadeeka Peiris, Gamini Jayalath, Janaka Kumbukage, Ranjith Rubasinghe
and Bandula Vithanage too play significant roles in the teledrama which
is co directed by Nalin Mapitiya. Suminda Arunalu is the cameraman of
the project.
Pujitha Kanchana Amaratunga is the editor, Suneth Nandalal the art
director, Jananath Warakagoda the music director and Manoj Laksiri the
make-up artist. Sumana Wanninayake handles the production management
while Thanuja Senanayake assisted in the direction. |
