Ex-OIC remanded

An Ex-Police OIC of the Community Police Unit of Dehiwala Police Station Naleen Dharshana was remanded by the Mount Lavinia Additional Magistrate Ruchira Waliwatta yesterday after surrendering to the court through a lawyer.

He is alleged to have led three robber sangs posing as a CID Officer and had been absconding from the Police for a long period.

The Wellawatte Police commenced investigations to arrest the ex-OIC following information obtained from two suspects.
