Popular actor Anton Jude who has made a name as one of the most
sought after comic actors of the period recently held a Muhurath
ceremony for his debut stage play. Titled Sakisanda Madala the function
took place at the Punchi theatre on July 27 in the presence of Joe
Abeywickrama, Nissanka Dikdenniya, Roger Seneviratne and many others who
have made a name in the field.
Jude who made his entrance to theater with the 1978 production Sudu
Hatthak said he had acted in more than 50 stage plays.
The talented actor has added colour and laughter with his comical
gestures and singing skills.
Priyantha Seneviratne has penned the script of Sakisanda Madala which
was sparked by Jude's performance Sakisanda Publis, a teledrama which
had shot him to fame. Jude hopes to stage Sakisanda Madala in October. |
