Western Province Futsal Championships

The Colombo Football League organised futsal soccer for schools clubs and veterans will be conducted from August 5-9 at the City Football League grounds.

The tournament which in sponsored by Voice of Asia Network Pvt Ltd. has attracted 32 schools, 16 veterans and 42 teams from the Western Province.

These were disclosed at a press briefing held at Football House last Friday with Dilan Peramuna, Chief Executive officer voice of Asia network in attendance.

The schools tourney will be held on August 5, 6 and 7 while the other two tourneys are scheduled for August 8 and 9. The winners in the club division carry away a trophy and a cash award of 50,000 and runners up a purse worth 25,000. Champions in the veterans get 25,00 plus a trophy runners up Rs. 15,000.

The school category will play for champions, plate and bowl with all three winners receiving Rs. 25,000, 15,000 and 10,000 respectively in additin to trophies.
