Suntel launches Auto call management service

Suntel Limited, launched its newest product extension on Biz Pack called Auto Call Management Service.

This product enables, small to medium businesses for automated welcome of a caller based on a user friendly pilot number and call transfer services based on the option selected. This added feature does not require any equipment to be placed at the customer premises and is managed by hosted services based at Suntel. This enables Suntel to offer feature enriched services without any capital cost for the client.

Suntel introduced this new feature as a value addition to the existing Suntel Biz Pack package. Suntel biz pack is the most economical solution for growing small and medium businesses who wants hassle free communication, totally managed by Suntel. The business can enjoy a lower call tariff rate whilst enjoying features such as call transferring between branches or locations with a short code, free of cost.

Now the user can get a new Suntel phone number to operate as the main phone number and publish that particular number for all incoming calls. The user has the possibility of routing incoming calls to different locations/branches or departments of the business based on the requirement.

Director Marketing and Sales, Suntel Ltd Hasitha Abeywardena said, “Suntel Auto Call Management Service, which is the latest value addition to our Biz Pack package is specially designed for growing SMEs, with no capital outlay on equipment and not requiring to maintain them, frees the business user to focus on his business rather than saddle up with managing infrastructure. Gulf Oil in Sri Lanka

World famous Gulf Lubricant Oil, a product of Gulf Oil Company was introduced recently to the Sri Lankan market by Western Auto Lanka Company.

Allianz Lanka goes to Negombo

Allianz Lanka opened its third branch recently in Negombo. Allianz Negombo is equipped with all facilities for life and general business and is serviced by an experienced team of sales, front office and underwriting professionals trained to internationally benchmarked Allianz standards of customer service and underwriting.

Mayor of Negombo Herman Fernando was the Guest of Honour and Allianz Lanka CEO Surekha Alles was the Chief Guest at the opening ceremony. The Mayor said that Negombo is a well-developed coastal town and the presence of an international player like Allianz will add further impetus to its economic development.

Surekha Alles said that the global financial services conglomerate was pleased to share its wealth of knowledge, expertise and technological capabilities with a dynamic town like Negombo.


Chefs Guild joins Sarvodaya to help IDPs

With the dawn of peace, the Government in its efforts to uplift the standards of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) are carrying several measures and continue to seek the support of organizations to join this great humanitarian task. Together with Sarvodaya, the Chefs Guild of Sri Lanka joined this initiative to provide assistance to the IDPs living in temporary shelters in North and East areas. This initiative commenced in early July with the Chefs Guild regional teams visiting the North.

A seven-member team led by President of the Chefs Guild Negombo region Trevor Fernando who is also The Executive Chef of Club Hotel Dolphin a Serendib Leisure Hotel, together with members from three other hotels visited the Menik Farm Vavuniya recently.

Assistance was provided in setting up and monitoring the standards of personal hygiene, food hygiene, time management, production planning process and pest control within the camps.

The team was stationed in Settikulam for one week and worked at the camps together with Managers and Health Inspectors from Sarvodaya.


DIMO launches Mercedes Benz E-class

The new E-Class from Mercedes-Benz represents the pacemaker when it comes to safety, comfort and environmental compatibility in this market segment. With its unique combination of driver assistance systems, this saloon further consolidates the leading position of Mercedes-Benz in the luxury class.

Its features include a drowsiness detection system, Adaptive High Beam Assist and the proximity control system which can perform automatic emergency braking when there is acute danger of a collision.

The new E-Class is the first car in the world to be equipped with headlamps which adapt to the traffic situation and respond automatically to avoid dazzling other drivers.

The optional Adaptive High beam Assist uses a camera on the windscreen to recognize oncoming traffic and vehicles moving ahead and to control the headlamps so that their beams do not reach the other vehicle.

Along with the engines, the Blue Efficiency package for the E-Class is in large part responsible for the considerable fuel savings. Engineers from every development department have worked together to optimize assemblies and components, to save fuel by means of reduced weight, a new form, improved functioning or efficient energy management.

Mercedes-Benz has improved the already exemplary long-distance comfort of the E-Class even further in the new saloon, principally through the use of intelligent bodyshell technology with up to 30 percent greater rigidity, further improved seats and a newly developed suspension whose shock absorbers automatically adjust to the current driving situation. The optional air suspension now works in combination with an electronic damping system.
