CIMA Sri Lanka records highest passes
The world business management body CIMA, recorded the highest ever
number to complete TOPCIMA in Sri Lanka at a single diet, where 301
students completed the final examination at the May 2009 diet.
The results of the May examination is a 17 percent increase from the
last examination diet in November 2008. The increase in pass rates is
not only encouraging to the tuition providers who have over the years
specialized in CIMA training but is also a boost to the corporate world
where CIMA is seen as the most sought after qualification for management
positions.
CIMA Regional Director for South Asia and Middle East Bradley Emerson
said the CIMA tuition providers who are probably the best for their
commitment in preparing the students for this global examination. Whilst
we are very pleased with the performance of our students, we will
continue to work on improving our tuition delivery.
Sri Lanka's pass rates at the recent examinations showed a 60 per
cent increase when compared with previous examination diets. It is
particularly pleasing to note that the pass rate of the final TOP CIMA
paper has improved to 51 percent from 49 percent at the last examination
diet.
CIMA has an online website which consists of student guides and
post-examination guides. These are invaluable tools for examination
success, and CIMA recommends that this area of the website is accessed
regularly. In addition to the student e-magazine Velocity CIMAstudy.com,
the only CIMA-endorsed online resources, are now available for all
levels of the CIMA qualification - Certificate, Managerial. |
