Police nab criminal gang

The Police has taken into custody six suspects including a woman at Mutwal, who are believed to be part of a notorious criminal gang which has links to the underworld.

However, the leader of the gang had escaped the Police net.

Gang leader was not present at the hideout at the time of the raid by a special Police team from Kotahena.

The gang is believed to have been operating in and around Colombo and is suspected to be involved in several homicides, according to Police. Police are questioning the suspects.
