SLTB launches new office bus service

The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) launced a special office bus
service from the Pensions Department and the Transport Ministry in
Maligawatte for public sector employees yesterday.
The Transport Ministry launched this special service to provide an
uninterrupted service for thousands of employees attached to the public
sector.
New buses have been provided to Kegalle, Aluthgama, Maharagama,
Negambo, Angoda and Kirindiwela depots to transport public sector
employees to various parts of the country and their return journey as
well.
According to the schedule, the buses to Nittambuwa, Panadura, Padukka,
Negombo, Labugama and Tharala will leave the Transport Ministry in
Maligawatte around 4.20pm, while buses will leave the Pensions
Department in Maligawatte around 4.25 pm.
The bus services from Warakapola, Aluthgama, Maharagama, Negombo,
Angoda and Kirindiwela depots will arrive at the Pensions Department and
the Transport Ministry in Maligawatte around 8.15a.m. and 8.20a.m
respectively.
Transport Minister Dullas Alahapperuma, Road Passenger Transport
Minister Lasantha Alagiyawanna, Public Administration and Home Affairs
Minister and Deputy Finance and Planing Minister Dr.Sarath Amunugama
will officially inaugurated the bus service from the premises of the
Secretariat in Maligawatte yesterday.
