Acid attack on Lankans:
Man charged with attempted murder
A man has been charged with attempted murder over an acid attack on
two Sri Lankan students in a western Sydney home in May.
The students, aged 22 and 27, were left in hospital with
life-threatening injuries after a group of men broke into their Westmead
home and threw acid at them.
The 27-year-old was also stabbed in the stomach and broke his ankle
after the group allegedly found the pair hiding in a bedroom. A
25-year-old from Girraween had already been charged in connection to the
Westmead attack but those charges only related to not answering police
questions about his car, which was thought to be used as a getaway. ABC
