Novel influenza: Situation report

Eight (A) H1N1 cases have been detected from Sri Lanka. No deaths have been reported from (A) H1N1 while the number of persons cured is four, Healthcare and Nutrition Ministry sources said.

Four persons are receiving treatment for (A) H1N1. The total number of tests carried out by the Medical Research Institute (MRI) for (A)H1N1 is 43. Only eight persons were tested positive.

The number of suspected persons admitted to IDH and other sentinel site hospitals were 40. The persons who were found positive for (A) H1N1 had come to Sri Lanka from Australia, U.K and Hong Kong (transit passengers).
