Michael Jackson, one of pop music's biggest stars with lifetime sales
estimated at 750 million records, died on Thursday at a Los Angeles
hospital where he had been rushed in full cardiac arrest after
collapsing at his home. He was 50.
Facing a battered reputation and a mountain of debts, Jackson had
spent the last two months rehearsing for a long-awaited series of
comeback concerts in London in July.
