India ready to look into border dispute with Nepal
Nepal: Visiting Indian Foreign Secretary Shiva Shanker Menon has said
that New Delhi will look into the encroachment of the Nepali territory
from the Indian side, The Kathmandu Post reported on Sunday.
Talking to Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal at the Prime minister's
official residence in Baluwatar Kathmandu Saturday afternoon, Menon
assured the former that the Indian government will take action against
the ones found guilty of breaching the Nepal-India border.
The duo agreed upon containing the encroachment of territories by
developing a strong mechanism, informed Prime Minister's foreign affairs
advisor Rajan Bhattarai.
It has been learnt that the Indian side discussed signing a newly
prepared border map in an authority level with Nepali PM.
Meanwhile, the Indian foreign secretary assured Nepal to provide
assistance in taking the ongoing peace process to a logical conclusion.
He also handed over Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's invitation
to Nepal for India visit.
