MTI launches turnkey venture management

On profit and equity share basis:

Hilmy Cader

The global financial crisis and its impact on the region has made many businesses to rationalize their portfolio of business units, resulting in those that lack critical mass and /or do not fit within the core business domain being considered for exit, thus allowing greater and shaper focus on the core business.

This is where the newly formed Venture Management Unit of MTI Consulting see the opportunity to take over the management of such niche units on a turnkey basis - in return for a share of equity, profits and a minimal fixed fee.

“With the extensive international and local experience of our consultants (most of whom came from industry, with hands-on experience), we feel very confident by this opportunity.

Above all, our team is willing to get hands-on and willing to link our rewards to returns. After 12 years of consulting experience that has taken us across border and industries, we are now ready to take consulting to the next frontier in the form of venture management” said the Bahrain-based CEO of MTI Hilmy Cader in his launch communique.

He said “This way, MTI will take responsibility for the bottom-line and given that our returns depend on it, we will be laser beam bottom-line focused on turning the business around, in the shortest period and with the most cost-effective model. Obviously, we will do a quick due diligence to check the viability of the project before commencing” said Hilmy Cader.

Given that this is a relatively new concept, MTI are targeting companies they have worked with and will be initially confining it to a few, so that these start-up projects can benefit from a high level of focus.
