Sing-along with Annesley

Palm Beach Hotel. Mout Lavinia has organised an evening of family entertainment with Annesley Malewana of Moon Stones and Golden Chimes fame to give a wonderful time of fun to young and old audiences alike.

The Hotel is all keyed up to hold " Sing Along with Annesley" on June 13 (Saturday) for the third time from 7 pm to make it a reverberating night filled with music of the '70s and the '80s to delight all that love music and dance that come to sing along with Annesley on that day by the pool side of Palm Beach.

General Manager, Palm Beach, Naveen Gunawardena said at a press conference organised by the hotel to announce their plans for the event, that the show will be held by the pool side the weather permitting, and if not they have arranged to hood the at the Banquet Hall.

The event has been organised for the third time to coincide with the Annesley's birthday.

Annesley started Sing-Along Concerts with Sam the Man several years ago.

He said, that they have decided not to distribute song books at the Sing Along because it can create a singing- at-a -choir resembling atmosphere with most of the audience looking at their songs leaflets or books.

" I believe that this should not happen at Sing Along shows of the sort because this can hamper interaction of the artistes with the audience," he said.

The Sing-Along will feature the artiste's band, the Super Chimes with Channa Athalagay on lead guitar, Prashan Fernando on bass, Dillip Fernando on Keyboards and Ashan Fernando on drums.

Hotel will have a hawker's street atmosphere with Western and Sri Lankan food.

There will be prizes and surprises for all and especially for the children who. There will be with their parents to patronize the show with fun filled games, ice cream corners and clowns.
