War on dengue in Kalutara

A dengue elimination program has been implemented under the direction of Medical Officer of Health in Madurawala Divisional Secretariat Division of the Kalutara district.

Public Health Inspectors inspected Ramuna, Ballapitiya, Sandagiriuyana, Kirideniya and other villages and instructed householders to destroy places where mosquitoes breed.

Blood donation and Bodhi Pooja

Rahula College, Matara OBA Colombo branch has organised a blood donation campaign and a Bodhi Pooja at Gotami Viharaya, Borella on June 6, 2009. Blood could be donated from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the Bodhi Pooja will be held at 5.30 p.m.

Certificate awarding ceremony

The Certificate Awarding Ceremony on 36 police officers who completed the Tamil language course will be held today at 4 p.m. at the Colombo Division DIG office situated at the 3rd floor, at Olcott Mawatha, Colombo 11.
