Our man in Arizona wins award

Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Ltd, (ANCL) former Deputy Production
Manager - Editorial Systems Sujeewa Randeniya, studying for his Masters
Degree at Arizona State University has come first in the GEF/Flint Group
Technical Writing Contest and won an award of US$ 1,500 from the Gravure
Association of America.
He won the same award in 2008 and has now became the first person to
win the same award in two consecutive years. Randeniya also received the
outstanding graduate student 2009 honour.
His prize winning essay was about "printed electronics" using the
gravure printing process which is believed to be the next decade
revolutionary digital technology.
Randeniya is an old boy of Royal College, Colombo and a graduate of
the University of Colombo. |
