SLMEA commends President for annihilating terrorism

The Sri Lanka Eledronics Manufacturers and Exporters Association (SLEMEA) congratulates President Mahinda Rajapaksa Defence Secretary and the Service Commanders on their historic success in annihilating terrorism and decimating the entire leadership of the world’s most horrendous terrorist organisation states Merrick Gooneratne, President of the Association.

He adds the 30 year old protracted conflict and the mayhem caused by the LTTE has been the single biggest impediment to our efforts to promote investment and market growth for Electronics Assemblies.

We had several opportunities of establishing linkages with Global Leaders in Electronics Manufacturing.

These were never realised due to the negative impact of the LTEE’s acts of terrorism and destruction of infrastructure. President Mahinda Rajapaksa in crushing the LTTE and unifying the country has now ushered in a National Renaissance after a 30 year long Dark Age. Our Association, SLEMEA, pledges our support to the President in the daunting task ahead of Nation Rebuilding and Rehabilitation.

“At least now, those Pseudo - Experts on TV Talk Shows who are part of the Doomsday Industry should look at the positive side of Sri Lanka in resurgence.

These Doomsday Cassandras of gloom who talk as if the sky is about to fall should give up their petty political agenda and work towards restoring confidence among consumers and investors.

The SLEMEA now looks forward to the future with confidence under an enlightened and strong Political Leadership, he adds.
