Joint office train-bus service at Dematagoda, Bambalapitiya stations

Under the guidance of Transport Minister Dullas Alahapperuma the CTB will launch an affiliated office bus from Dematagoda and Bambalapitiya Railway Stations simultaneously today at 7.30 am parallel to the train service for the benefit of public and private sector employees.

Twenty buses will be deployed from Dematagoda to various parts of Colombo while 13 buses will be utilised from the precincts of Bambalapitiya Railway Station. CTB Chairman Dammika Hewapathirana will officially inaugurate the bus service from the Dematagoda Railway Station today.

The Transport Ministry is launching this service considering the large number of employees and officers who wait at halts for hours, Ministry sources said.

The first bus will leave Dematagoda to Mt. Lavinia at around 7.30 am through Torrington.

According to the schedule the bus to Homagama will ply through the Narehenpita - Nawala road at around 7.35 am.

The bus to Torrington through Borella will leave at 7.45 am, to Piliyandala through Thimbirigasyaya at 7.50 am, 8.00 am, 8.10 am and 8.27 am, to Panadura through Nugegoda at 7.55 am, to Bambalapitiya through Torrington at around 8.05 am, 8.20 am, 8.35 am and 8.45 am, to Isurupaya through Borella, Rajagiriya at 8.05 am, to Mt. Lavinia through Torrington, Bambalapitiya at 8.08 am and 8.12 am, to Bambalapitiya through Torrington at 8.12 am and to Mt. Lavinia through Borella, Bambalapitiya at 8.17 am, to Mt. Lavinia through Bambalapitiya at 8.30 am. Meanwhile 13 buses will be added to the service from the Bambalapitiya Railway station.

The first bus will leave Bambalapitiya to Dematagoda through Torrington around 7.30 am, 7.55 am, 8.00 am, 8.10 am and 8.30 am. Two bus services will operate from Bambalapitiya to Dematagoda through Torrington at 7.35 am and 7.40 am.

According to the schedule, the bus to Homagama through Torrington will leave at 7.45 am.

The bus to Battaramulla will leave through Dickman road, Kirula road, Nawala road and Rajagiriya at 7.45 am and to Homagama through Torrington at 7.50 am.

The bus to Pettah through Borella will leave at 8.35 am and the bus to Dematagoda. through Borella will leave at 8.40 am from Bambalapitiya.
