Science College squeeze thro'

Science College, Mount Lavinia squeezed through to a narrow 3 points (1 penalty) to nil win over Vidyartha College, Kandy in their schools under 20 Division One Segment B Rugby tournament match played at Nittawala on Thursday. At half time there was no scoring.

Vidyartha College could have easily won this game had they played with more purpose. They often wasted possession by aimless kicking they could easily scored at last four tries and one of them was when they took a short tap just a metre from their opponents goal line but were brought down close to the line.

Science College scored their winning points through a penalty fired by full back N. Nadushan midway in the second half. Y.M.S. Ratnayake refereed.
