Hiruni and Nisali shine in swimming

The 2009 national pentathlon championship conducted by SLASU at the Sugathadasa stadium and the Junior prize giving 2009 of Hillwood College - Kandy were two very special events for the two under 12 swimmers of Hillwood.

Hiruni De Zoysa was awarded the best junior sports girl of Hillwood college for the year 2008 and won the under 12 girls overall championship trophy at national pentathlon swimming championship 2009 by winning a gold.

Nisali Dissanayake received the prestigious Best Junior Student for the year 2008 of Hillwood college and won a Bronze medal at the same competition. Mahamaya Vidyalaya - Kandy won the overall championship whilst Hillwood College was awarded the runner-up and Visakha Vidyalaya and Musaeus College jointly were awarded the third place at the 2009 Pentathlon Swimming Championship conducted by SLASU.
