SL Army, Colombo BC victorious

Sri Lanka Army defeated Air Force 74 points to 72 in a thrilling game of the others Diamond Jubilee Presidents Cup Basketball Championship.

Airmen were leading at the halfway mark 35-29 but the strong army cagers came back strongly to outplay the Airmen at the last minute.

Gayan Buddhika who collected highest points (28) for winners was adjudged as the best player. Indika Wijesinghe as top point collector for losers, Air Force.

In an another game Colombo BC recorded a convincing win over Buffalos BC 85-49. At the halfway mark the score were level at 20-20.

Harshadeva Yasarath (20) and Jagath Kulatunga 16 were the main scorers for Colombo BC, while Ranga Perera collected 14 points for the losers. (BP)
