Account opened for migrant workers

The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) has offered an opportunity to Sri Lankan migrant workers to contribute towards the welfare of internally displaced people of the North. The account was opened at the Head Office establishment branch of the Bank of Ceylon, the SLBFE said in a press release yesterday.

SLBFE Chairman Kingsley Ranawake said all funds remitted to this account will be used for the welfare of the IDPs in the North under the administration of a committee set up for this purpose.

The Account number is 9290739 (swift code BCEYLKLS), the SLBFE said.
