More celebrations in the suburbs

People in the suburban areas in Anuradhapura, Galnewa, Thalawa and Thambuththegama areas were jubilant over the news of the death of LTTE leaders Prabhakaran, Pottu Amman and Soosai.

They took to the streets and lit fire crackers to celebrate this unprecedented victory over LTTE terrorism.

People in Anuradhapura town celebrated the victory achieved by the tri-forces by lighting crackers for almost two hours.
