Roads closed today

The following roads and roundabouts in the city will be closed intermittently from 9 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. to 1 p.m. today (May 19) on account of the opening and closing ceremonies of Parliament, said Police Headquarters in a press release yesterday.

They are: old parliament roundabout, Galle Face roundabout, Kollupitiya junction, Kollupitiya Liberty roundabout, Horton roundabout, Kynsey Road, Horton Place, D.S. Colour lights junction, Model Farm junction, Ayurveda roundabout and Parliament road up to Parliament complex.

Motorists are advised to use alternative roads during this period to avoid inconvenience.
