‘UNP praising the Forces, a big joke’

There is no better joke than the UNP, which described Thoppigala as a jungle, congratulating the war heroes for eliminating LTTE terrorism, said Labour Relations and Manpower Minister Athauda Seneviratne in a message issued yesterday.

The message said the country is today free of terrorism thanks to the efforts taken by the Government. Everyone should be proud of this achievement which was due to the country being blessed with a proper leader in President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

When the Government achieved a host of military victories over terrorists the UNP tried to ridicule and belittle them.

The people are baffled as to what the UNP is doing today and the Opposition including the JVP was in tatters. They have been forced to withdraw from the relay due to their political dishonesty.
